Planning is an important milestone, but most projects need further technical checks and information before construction.
Building Regulations
Building Regulations cover matters such as structure, fire safety, insulation, ventilation and drainage. Depending on the work, further technical drawings and details may be required.
Structural Calculations
Structural calculations and engineering design are separate specialist services. Where required, they must be prepared by a qualified structural engineer, not Easy Architecture.
Building Control
Building Control checks compliance with the Building Regulations. The appropriate application route and inspections depend on the project and should be agreed before construction starts.
Planning Drawings vs Construction Information
Planning drawings explain the proposed appearance, scale and arrangement for planning purposes. They are not construction or setting-out drawings, and dimensions and site conditions must be verified before building.
Who Does What?
Your builder constructs the work, Building Control checks regulatory compliance, and specialist engineers provide calculations where needed. Other advisers may be required depending on the property and project.
